LAKEVILLE — A good Mexican restaurant — much less any Mexican restaurant — in the Northwest Corner has been notably absent for years.

Since July 2017, though, Picante’s South West Mexican Grill Cantina and Restaurant at 227 Main St. has filled a much-needed need for cuisine South of the Border. And with notable new plans for the restaurant in the works, business is booming.

Co-owner and general manager José Reyes said recently, “Moving to this town was one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life.” He added, “People love the food. I want them to leave happy.” and now have opened a new Restaurant in Canaan CT
